WHAT'S NEW AT NCA?
God knows something about credit cards.
If you are like me, you probably use a credit card to pay for purchases. A credit card allows you to buy an item even though you don’t actually have the cash to pay for the item. But God setup a credit system before there were people on earth. He knew that we would need to pay for an item without actually having the currency to pay for the item.
Ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, all of humanity has been in debt to God. Through Adam and Eve, we gave up our righteousness. And when God says to you, “Why should I let you into my Kingdom and live forever?” You have no currency (righteousness) to show God.
But God, in His infinite wisdom, created an account that was full of “currency” (righteousness). God would send His own righteous Son into the world and Jesus would pay the price with His own righteousness. This righteousness is not earned. It is not acquired through work or good behavior. It cannot be bought with gold and silver. It cannot be stolen or otherwise acquired. The currency of righteousness can only be acquired through faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 4:5 says, “However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.”
In your everyday life, you might feel like you need a MasterCard to pay for the things you need. But there will be an accounting! At the end of the month, you have to pay the price. And at the end of your life you have to pay the price. Your own righteousness will not be enough! Paul says that all our righteousness is as filthy rags, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. What will you do then? Your MasterCard won’t work, it’s not the right currency. You will need the Master’s Card that deals in righteousness. And that card comes only through faith in the Savior, the One who paid the price.

How to Get a Better Job
Jobs or careers can be a burden or a blessing to you and your family.
Some say you should be happy you even have a job. And this is absolutely true. But I’m not talking about a lack of gratitude when I talk about a job being a burden. Certainly the Bible tells us to be thankful “in everything” (1 Thess. 5:18).
